Three ways to maximize your holiday

Summer is upon us, and while most of us still have a few weeks of work ahead of us before we can leave for our holidays, there are some things you can do right now to make sure you can make the most of your time away.

Many of us make the mistake of not planning our vacation past the point of booking the flight and hotel, but in truth there are lots of other things we can do to make sure we get the best vacation possible.

Planning ahead is not very sexy and can for many of us feel like a chore that is both unnecessary and lacks the spontaneity you would want on your summer holiday. But planning just means that you are setting your future self, up for having the best, and most relaxed time possible. Here are our top three tips!

1 Make sure you have fun activities planned

  • If you enjoy playing at a live casino, line up the best platforms and do what you can to get everything set up before you leave, so that all you need to do when you are away is to log in and enjoy the game! Lots of us enjoy playing games like this and knowing that everything is set up and ready for you, means that you can play whenever and wherever you want, without the hassle of setting anything up first.

  • If you love reading books, make the effort to read reviews and find the perfect book, or books to bring on the trip with you. They are not only a perfect activity for when the weather turns bad, but also on the flight to your vocational destination.

  • If you are going to the countryside and will not have very good internet access, make sure you download the films and series you want to watch, so that you can enjoy them without getting annoyed at the lack of connection.

  • If you want to do fun activities while you are away, book these ahead of time, so that you do not have to think about the practical aspects of it when you should be relaxing.

2 Book ahead of time

Booking restaurant visits and other activities ahead is something we strongly recommend, there is nothing worse than wasting time on your holiday trying to figure out where to eat and whether you can get a free table anywhere. Even though it might feel like you are taking some of the spontaneity away, you are just helping your future self to waste less time.

3 Align on what you want to do on your trip

When travelling with others, we often tend to approach it with a go with the flow kind of mentality. But in reality, we are much better served making sure that we are aligned about what we want to spend our time on. This creates less friction and makes it easier to iron out disagreements ahead of time and allows us to set more realistic expectations and therefore enjoy the trip more.
