Embrace the dirt, go Nuclear!
Hey Action fans!
Welcome to the new look Bounce Magazine, what do we think? Pretty good eh!
Last month we took it easy with a great evening at Beautiful Beers but now with summer around corner it’s time to get active again!
Just4Keepers is an International Goalkeeper Academy available for 7-16 year olds with great goalie specific training from qualified coaches. It has an incredible track record in delivering results, which is far better than the whole squad taking pot shots at a hapless keeper!
Barri Twinn has recently taken over the Norfolk & Suffolk branch of J4K and there’s a session starting in Bury St Edmunds this month. Is your son a budding Joe Hart or David Seaman? Well Just4Keepers can help get them on the right path and potentially get both mitts on a professional contract. ActionMan joined Barri at one of his recent sessions and I was highly impressed by the level of skill of display from the young stoppers, all looking the part in their J4K kit and gloves. The gloves are their own brand and are available to all from their website www.gkgloves4u.co.uk at very competitive rates.
Their schedule is as follows…
Norwich – Monday evenings
Ipswich – Tuesday evenings
Bury St Edmunds – Wednesday evenings 6-7 from May 7th
Kesgrave – Friday evenings
Contact Barri on 0845 0941809 or via twitter on @J4KNorfolk and catch a session, your first one is free.
I also recently enjoyed a great afternoon with my friends from Nuclear Races. ActionMan was part of a small specifically selected group to help test out a new obstacle ahead of their next big event, the Nuclear Rush.
Well this obstacle, that has been under construction for the past 2 months, is more than 2 stories tall and sends you flying into a rather chilly lake, this obstacle goes by the name of… The Death Slide!
This fibreglass chute starts with a vertical drop which only helps to add to the velocity as you catapult into the obstacle’s inevitable watery conclusion. But there was a surprise to follow! A short wade to the lake’s edge and then a run round to the other side saw you faced with another new feature of the Nuclear Rush course, the Zip Line!
The #nuclearfamily and I “tested” these obstacles out to full effect for the afternoon and it was awesome fun! I can’t wait to have another go during the Nuclear Rush race. This 6 or 12km obstacle race is chocked full of amazing challenges and obstacles not to mention a shed load of mud all synonymous with a Nuclear Races course, hence their now infamous tag line #lovemud. If you’re worried about the distance then don’t be, the obstacles help break the course down into manageable chunks.
I’m not a running fan but I love obstacle races. The camaraderie amongst all the competitors is amazing, there’s less focus on time or placing with these events it’s you versus the course which helps with the massive feeling of elation upon crossing the finish line.
Want to give it a go? Well if you’re quick you can still book onto the Nuclear Rush which on Sunday May 11th and as a special treat all Bounce Magazine readers get 10% off when you quote “ACTIONMAN”
