How to Plan a Girl’s Trip Away

Organising a trip away with a group of friends can be difficult. Getting everyone to turn up at the right place at the right time, and to bring all of the right stuff, can often be tricky. This goes especially if you’re travelling overseas. If you’ve been put in charge of a girl’s trip, whether it’s an impromptu outing or a hen do, there are a few strategies you might implement to make things that little bit less stress-inducing. Let’s take a look at some of the more effective of them.

Creating a WhatsApp Group

If you’re all in the same group on WhatsApp or Signal, then everyone can be kept up to date on what’s going on. You can restrict the group so only you can post into it; that way you can be certain that the chat won’t fill up, and no-one will miss important messages.

Budget per person

If people are forced to spend more than they have available, then they’re likely to find a reason to pull out of the trip. Make sure you ask everyone to be up-front about how much they have available to spend. If you’re all close mates, then any minor discrepancies can be ironed out – pride permitting.

Book the Transfers in Advance

Having to book taxis after you’ve gotten off the plane can add another layer of uncertainty, which you almost certainly do not want. By booking your transfers in advance, you’ll eliminate that little bit of stress. Choose a reputable taxi company, and make sure there’s enough room for all of your passengers.

Delegate, Delegate, Delegate

If you try to micro-manage absolutely everything, then there’s a chance that you’ll miss out on something. This possibility can, again, be a source of stress. Don’t be afraid to give people orders and responsibilities. If you’re on a hen party, then obviously don’t give the bride-to-be anything too onerous to do.

Pick the right Accommodation

If you’re going on a trip together, then you should make sure that you’re as close as possible throughout the trip. If you’re on separate buildings, or separate hotels, then you might find that you don’t have that communal time you really need. That’s where villas and alpine chalets come in so handy.

Insure the trip

Travel insurance will provide you with further peace of mind throughout the trip. Make sure that you investigate your options and pick what’s right for you!
