A Suffolk Splash…

This month will see the arrival of the UK’s biggest splash park at Alton Water just outside of Suffolk.

It’s 72 massive floating inflatable obstacles spread over 8000 square metres will include climbing walls, trampolines, balance bars, rockers, rollers, blast bags the UK’s biggest slides and even an extra special corner for adrenaline junkies (which personally should be named Action Man corner) it’ll be unlike anything we have even seen in this region.

Individuals, groups, friends, families are all welcome. Children aged 8 – 15 must be accompanied by an adult anyone 16 and over can attend and book as an individual but do not that this amount of waterborne activity will be very tiring, you must be a confident swimmer who can swim at least 50m unaided and have the ability to pull yourself up out of the water.

All bookings are done on-line at www.aquaparksuffolk.co.uk and are priced at £20 per ticket with which you’ll receive 1 hour in the park with 10 minutes of this taken up by a safety briefing.

It is also recommended that you arrive at least 30-45 minutes early so that you can change into the wet-suit and buoyancy aid, the hire of these are included in your ticket price.

DO NOT BE LATE if you miss your safety briefing you will not be allowed on the park and you won’t get your money back.

You are allowed to wear your own wet-suit if you have one and the wet-suit is also optional but it is recommended that you wear at least a T-shirt and/or rash vest.

Even in the height of summer that water will not be warm, I would certainly recommend the wet-suit option.

All in all expect the event to last around 2 – 2.5 hours.

Action Man Top Tip: complete the required disclaimer on-line, if you fail to do so you will be charged a £5 administration fee for completing it at reception.

Obviously you’ll want to bring all the essentials: a towel and a change of clothes, picnics are welcome on site as a spectators (which is free) but parking charges do apply.

But what if it is raining? You’ll get wet! And if you’re in the park and not already wet then you are doing it wrong! The park will only close for extreme weather conditions.

Aqua Park Suffolk is open 7 days a week from Saturday July 7th to Sunday September 9th it will be busy so book early to avoid disappointment.

Action Man says: You’re sure to have a lark at Suffolk’s Aqua Park!
