Owner of Auburn Boutique – Beccles, Lauren Heaney, reveals this months top trends…
The pre fall season is here (believe it or not,) and you are just as likely to see a sweet summers dress as a shearling topper!
Meaning trends can be hard to trace, however, that doesn’t mean they are not there!
At Auburn we are obsessing over new prints, colours and textures. One of our favourite colour palettes for this upcoming season has arrived, and it’s coming through strong from our buying trips, which are heading straight on to the shop floor.
We decided to team up with Bounce and the lovely Luchea, to showcase some Auburn inspiration for the upcoming months…
Khaki is the new black
Khaki is soon becoming everybody’s go to colour. It’s so easy wearing, suits most skin tones, and doesn’t wash you out as much as black!
It acts as a blank canvas and can be worn head to toe! We love this classic neutral tone, whether your style is safari chic, minimal or utility there’s a khaki piece to suit everyone!
Luchea is wearing the two ‘safe’ colours together, which gives her outfit a stronger sense of style, giving the impression she’s considered her look more artfully than a ‘lazy’ head-to-toe black outfit.
Ponchos and capes are in, and staying firmly in for the rest of 2016. These cover-ups are an ideal replacement for a classic coat and jacket for the unpredictable British weather!
This season, designers made a perfect breakthrough, as they offer both voguish and functional models.
You are going to see dressy and casual styles to wear in the streets, work and cocktail parties! Luchea is wearing our perfect “sombre” poncho suitable for every lifestyle.
We love a printed pant and pretty petal is characterised by pre-fall florals that have taken on a distinctively prettified feel to create ultra-feminine surfaces.
Blooms range from the delicate to the ornate, with black and white shades to create a moody romantic look. A simple sliptop can be tucked in.
To finish the look add an extra sheer layer to give a unpredictable chic edge.
