Street Child UK works in some of the poorest areas in the world, striving to ensure every child has the chance to go to school and learn.

The Fashion Show, held at Saint Felix School in Southwold, was based around five key looks, taken from Collen and Clare’s autumn/winter 17 collections.

As part of Red Nose Day 2017, local singer Ed Sheeran travelled to Liberia to visit our projects helping street children into a safe home and back to school. A short clip of his film was played as an introduction to the evening, which moved the audience and created awareness about this powerful charity.

The show started off with the ‘Winter is Coming’ set. The models wore all things Winter, with luxurious fur lined coats from Joseph and M.i.H taking centre stage alongside iconic Men’s wax jackets from Belstaff and timeless silhouettes from S Max Mara.

Next up, was brand of the moment Rixo London. The catwalk was flooded with sumptuous silk garments, adorned with gorgeous hand-painted prints which have a vintage-inspired feel to them. Only two years old, this brand has already graced the pages of Vogue and has a steady following of fashion bloggers and magazine editors.

The third look, ‘Style Hunter’ contained some of our favourite niche brands at Collen & Clare. From the laid back appeal of Ottodame, to the quirky finishing touches that were seen on the Inno collection,  these are brands which no ‘Style Hunter’s’ wardrobe should be without.

‘Icons’, saw our models walking the iconic fashion power houses, which sit in Collen & Clare, on the runway. Luxurious and timeless, brands such as S Max Mara and Eileen Fisher were shown, paired with Mulberry accessories which are available to buy in our Southwold store. Gibson took centre stage for our menswear department, with men dressed in classic tailored jackets, teamed with Citizen of Humanity jeans for a casual appeal.

Diane Von Fursenberg’s autumn/winter 17 Collection closed the show, displaying their new Chief Creative Officer, Johnathan Saunder’s passion for print and vibrancy. The collection contains playful mix – and – match patterns, which adorn luxurious silk dresses and shirts. Accessories were seen in leopard print pony skin for a controlled contrast.

After the show which raised over £3000 for Street Child UK, the night ended with delicious cocktails from the cocktail bar ‘Zizzy‘, which was a huge hit.

Collen and Clare would like to thank everyone involved especially to Serin Hair Dressing in Southwold for working their magic backstage and of course the models.  For more information and to watch the show see www.collenandclare.com.
