Hobbs raise money for Breakthrough Breast Cancer by holding a Christmas Charity Fashion Show…
The Hobbs Charity Fashion Show was a very glamorous fundraiser hosted by your very own Bounce beauty Rachel and myself, Penny White, a volunteer fundraiser for Suffolk Breakthrough.
We raised over £500 with the help and support of local business’. Ladies were greeted by Father Christmas who handed them goodie bags full of treasures kindly donated by local Bury St Edmunds retailers. Drinks, nibbles, balloons, Christmas Trees and music all added to the festive atmosphere. Guests had the opportunity to purchase pre-sale items with discounts from 20-70%.
“It was a wonderful evening, and huge thanks to the HOBBS team, the volunteers who modelled, BLISS Hair Studio, C&B Beautiful and Dawn Vickerage from Clarice House for helping create a sensational fashion show. I am always overwhelmed by the support and generosity of everyone involved; it really is one of the most enjoyable fundraisers we do and my heartfelt thanks to everyone involved” – Penny White
We were joined by Kirsty Berrigan Community Engagement Executive Officer from Breakthrough who concluded the evening with a few words: “Our work centres on four key areas: Prevention, Detection, Diagnosis and Treatment.
By finding the causes, we will know how to prevent the disease; by promoting early detection, more women will recognise the signs and symptoms of breast cancer; by finding ways to make the diagnosis of breast cancer more accurate, more women will receive precise treatments; and by discovering new and better treatments and improving health services, women will receive effective, guaranteed treatments and care”.
