Newmarket Nights offers the ultimate experience by combining the thrill of horse racing with great evening entertainment, epitomising British summer time in Suffolk.
So when the opportunity arose to attend one of their legendry events I jumped at the chance.
The excitement was heightened knowing the evening’s main event was the Kaiser Chiefs, my friend’s favourite band!
We always love an excuse to get dressed up and what better occasion than the stylish Newmarket Nights.
There was a definite buzz as we arrived at the race course, picnics and bubbly were in full swing, the sun was shining and it looked set to be a great evening.
With Pimms in hand we ventured to the Premier Enclosure to soak up the atmosphere and admire the fine attire of beautiful summer dresses.
We were pleasantly surprised at the variety of delicious food and snacks catering for even our fussy palettes.
Wanting the best view possible, which can be tricky with a vertically challenged best friend, we headed to the stage early determined to get a great view of the amazing Kaiser Chiefs!
We were certainly not disappointed! Ricky Wilson had great stage presence and was a fantastic front man involving the excitable crowd.
Performing songs old and new, I was reminded of how many fantastic hits this awesome British band have produced.
